Poimapper is a product of Pajat Solutions Oy. Pajat Solutions respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information that you provide to us. This statement explains our policies and practices regarding the use and disclosure of your personal information by Pajat Solutions. Please note that Pajat Solutions reviews and updates this Privacy Policy from time to time as needed without notice. Therefore, you should review the terms of this policy periodically to make sure that you are aware of how Poimapper collects and uses personal information. By using our web site and the Poimapper service, you consent to the collection and use of your personal information by Poimapper as explained below.

This policy applies where we are acting as a data controller with respect to the personal data of our website visitors and service users in other words, where we determine the purposes and means of the processing of that personal data. For clarification purposes, we have, however, also included some statements about our data processing related to privacy if we are not the controller, but the processor.

Your Personal Information

You have complete control over your personal information. In general, you can visit our web site without providing us with any personal information. However, there are instances where we must have your personal information in order for us to grant you an access to our protected and secured sites. This information may include:

  • information request data and response data (“User Information”).

When you receive your confirmation email or when you receive any email from the list server, you will be given instructions on how to remove yourself from the list.

      Access to certain content on our web site may be allowed under a agreement between you or your employer and Poimapper and will require a username and/or password. In some cases, failure to provide personal information may prevent you from accessing certain Poimapper web site(s) containing certain confidential information, products, services, or promotional offers (“Poimapper Offerings”). By accessing and using our protected and secured web site(s), you agree to maintain the confidentiality of the username and password you selected to access such site(s) and consent to our Terms of Use.

How we use information we collect

How we use the information we collect depends on any preferences you have communicated to us.  Below are the specific purposes for which we use the information we collect about you.

Use of Personal Information

We intend to use such information for purposes of supporting your and your employer’s relationship with Poimapper by designing a web site content that is suitable for your needs and alerting you to new product and service offerings as they become available. This User Information may be retained by Poimapper to verify compliance with the agreement between Pajat Solutions and your employer, to keep track of the domains from which people visit us, to create a user profile to better serve you and your employer, or to simply contact you either electronically or otherwise. If you decide that we should not use your personal User Information to contact you, please let us know and we will not use that information for such purpose. However, please do not submit any User Information if you are less than 18 years of age.

Disclosure of User Information

Pajat Solutions does not sell, trade or transfer User Information to third parties. However, we may share User Information with our business partners for marketing, advertising or product/service offering purposes. For example, we provide User Information to our service providers for direct emailing of our newsletters, online surveys or notifications on Poimapper offerings to our viewers. We also disclose User Information if: we have your consent; we need to share it in order to provide you with the products and/or services you requested; we respond to a court order or you violate our Terms of Use. You may separately agree to provide your personal information to third parties that provide content for Poimapper offerings, in order to access and/or use their products and/or services. If you agree to provide such information to these third parties, then your personal information will be subject to their privacy policies.

To provide the Poimapper services and personalize your experience: We use information about you to provide the Poimapper services to you, including to process transactions with you, authenticate you when you log in, provide customer support, and operate and maintain the Poimapper services.  

For research and development:  We are always looking for ways to make our Poimapper services smarter, faster, secure, integrated, and useful to you.  We use collective learnings about how people use our Poimapper services and feedback provided directly to us to troubleshoot and to identify trends, usage, activity patterns and areas for integration and improvement of the Services. In some cases, we also test and analyze certain new features with some users before rolling the feature out to all users.  

To communicate with you about Poimapper service: We use your contact information to send transactional communications via email and within the Poimapper service, including confirming your purchases, reminding you of subscription expirations, responding to your comments, questions and requests, providing customer support, and sending you technical notices, updates, security alerts, and administrative messages.  We also send you communications as you onboard to a Poimapper service to help you become more proficient in using Poimapper. These communications are part of the Poimapper services and in most cases you cannot opt out of them. If an opt out is available, you will find that option within the communication itself or in your account settings.

To market, promote and drive engagement with the Poimapper services: We use your contact information and information about how you use the Services to send promotional communications that may be of specific interest to you.  These communications are aimed at driving engagement and maximizing what you get out of the Services, including information about new features, survey requests, newsletters, and events we think may be of interest to you.  We also communicate with you about new product offers and promotions. You can control whether you receive these communications as described below under “Opt-out of communications.”

Customer support: We use your information to resolve technical issues you encounter, to respond to your requests for assistance  and to repair and improve the Poimapper services.

For safety and security: We use information about you and your Poimapper service use to verify accounts and activity, to monitor suspicious or fraudulent activity and to identify violations of Poimapper service policies.

To protect our legitimate business interests and legal rights: Where required by law or where we believe it is necessary to protect our legal rights, interests and the interests of others, we use information about you in connection with legal claims, compliance, regulatory, and audit functions, and disclosures in connection with the acquisition, merger or sale of a business.

Legal bases for processing (for EEA users):

If you are an individual in the European Economic Area (EEA), we collect and process information about you only where we have legal bases for doing so under applicable EU laws.  The legal bases depend on the Services you use and how you use them.

How long we keep information

How long we keep information we collect about you depends on the type of information, as described in further detail below.  After such time, we will either delete or anonymize your information or, if this is not possible (for example, because the information has been stored in backup archives), then we will securely store your information and isolate it from any further use until deletion is possible.  

Account information: We retain your account information for as long as your account is active and a reasonable period thereafter in case you decide to re-activate the Services.  We also retain some of your information as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, to resolve disputes, to enforce our agreements, to support business operations, and to continue to develop and improve Poimapper services. Where we retain information for service improvement and development, we take steps to eliminate information that directly identifies you, and we only use the information to uncover collective insights about the use of our services, not to specifically analyze personal characteristics about you.  

Information you share on the Services: If your account is deactivated or disabled, some of your information and the content you have provided will remain in order to allow your team members or other users to make full use of Poimapper.

Managed accounts and administrators: If the Poimapper Services are made available to you through an organization (e.g., your employer), we retain your information as long as required by the administrator of your account.  If you register or access the Poimapper using an email address with a domain that is owned by your employer or organization, and such organization wishes to establish an account or site, certain information about you including your name, contact info, content and past use of your account may become accessible to that organization’s administrator and other Poimapper users sharing the same domain.

Accuracy and Security

The accuracy and security of the User Information is important to Poimapper. Currently, you may review and request updates to your User Information retained by contacting. Pajat Solutions  If you contact us to correct your User Information, we will attempt to correct such inaccuracies in a timely manner. Pajat Solutions is concerned with the security of your User Information and is committed to taking reasonable steps to protect it from unauthorized access and use of that personal information. To that end, we have put in place the appropriate physical, electronic and managerial policies and procedures to secure your personal User Information. We also continue to implement procedures to maintain accurate, complete and current User Information.

International transfers of your personal data

As our servers are hosted inside EU we will not transfer your data outside EU.  Our subcontractors in countries outside EU may transfer data hosted at our service for development, testing or customer support purposes on a short term temporary basis without storing any personal data. Transfers to each of these countries will be protected by appropriate safeguards, namely appropriate confidentiality and contractual agreements between us and our subcontractors.

Our policy towards children

The Services are not directed to individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If we become aware that a child under 18 has provided us with personal information, we will take steps to delete such information. If you become aware that a child has provided us with personal information, please contact our support services.
